Rev. David C. Isom, Senior Pastor
Rev. David C. Isom is the Senior Pastor of the St. Stephen Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME) Church, Fairfield, CA and the son of the late Bishop & Mrs. D. I. Isom, Jr., Retired (43rd Bishop elected to the CME Church). Rev. Isom is also a Member of the Governing Board (Trustee) of the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District, serves on the Fairfield Police Department (FPD) Citizens Review Board, and as an Evaluator for the FPD Promotions Exam. He is married to Stephanie Jean, a wonderfully gifted Christian woman and his help-meet. She serves as Director of Children’s Ministries of the St. Stephen CME Church.

Passionate about community involvement and social justice, Rev. Isom is the Interim Director of SafeQuest Solano and also serves as Director of Domestic Violence Services for the Life Development Resource Center, Lacey, WA. He served for several years as Director of Faith Partners Against Family Violence of Associated Ministries-Tacoma/Pierce County, one of the largest Ecumenical Ministries in the US. His work as a Faith Based Domestic Violence Advocate/Consultant includes assisting with the development and implementation of a wide variety of DV programs, conducting hundreds of DV presentations, workshops and in-service trainings and providing technical resources and support to the Faith Community and other venues including Seattle University, Pacific Lutheran University, the District Attorney’s Office of Dallas, TX, the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the Vacaville Police Department, the Presiding Elders Council (CMEC), and the FOCUS Retreat (Connectional Young Adults – Christian Methodist Episcopal Church).

Rev. Isom
has been instrumental in the creation of numerous programs and the implementation of strategies that address Domestic Violence within the Faith Community. A male ally, Community Educator, Pastor, Chaplain, Administrator, Victim Advocate, Researcher and Licensed Counselor, Rev. Isom has extensively studied and provided expert assistance to many Faith Communities across the US. He served on the Solano County’s (CA) Executive Planning Committee for the implementation of a Domestic Violence Coordinated Community Response Facility (CCR) which addresses the needs of victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault in Fairfield, CA where he is responsible for the Chaplaincy Program. Prior to being relocated to CA, Rev. Isom was responsible for training all Staff Chaplains for the Crystal Judson Family Justice Center (CCR) Tacoma, WA.
