Arms of Peace
A Poem by Amanda Harrinauth
Cradle me in Your arms of peace, my Lord. I need to feel secure like a child being delicately held in the arms of its mother.
I need comfort. Please wipe my tears away.
This world is going through such trying times; we do not know if we are going to make it through. We walk through the valley of darkness and uncertainty. Please don’t let go of my hand.
As of right now, snakes reside in my resting place. Hold me up, Father. Sweet Jesus, wrap me in your arms. I feel so desperate for a hug.
Majesty, You are trying to tell us something in this world, in the form of this illness. Cradle us in your loving arms, and, I hope, soon we listen.
